Members of the public who wish to attend may do so in-person.
Leadership Workshop Day One
Attendees:
• Council, City Manager, and Senior Staff
Theme:
• The importance of building connection and trust between members of the group to create a
high performing team by:
o Creating “norms” for the group that inform not what we will work on but how we
will work together and, in the process, build trust.
o Understanding not what your colleagues think, but how they think through
relational learning using the “True Colors” personality assessment tool.
Elements:
• 3:00 – 3:30pm: Introductions
• 3:30 – 4:30pm: Review and discuss pre-workshop interview summary
• 4:30 – 6:00pm: Relational Learning True Colors assessment review with Kori Shingles
• 6:00 – 6:30pm: Dinner
• 6:30 – 8:30pm: Norms review and creation by council and staff.
• 8:30 – 9:00pm: Review of the day / closing thoughts from the Mayor and City Manager
