The purpose of this ordinance is to amend, upon passage, Chap- ter 10.201, Prohibited Conduct on Park Property. Specifically, this amendment removes language from Section O, Subsection 1, that prohibits the possession or con- sumption of alcohol on any public bathing beach or anywhere within Silver Lake Bcach Par'r.. Ordinance 1718 eliminates this prohibition but retains the requirement that the City Council must approve any posses- sion or consumption of intoxicating or non -intoxicating liquor in or on any city park, parkway, or beach. This is a summary of Ordinance No. 1718.
