AN ORDINANCE AMENDING
CHAPTER 9.107 OF THE
CITY CODE OF 2005
RELATING TO CHILD DAY
CARE ZONING REGULATIONS
The City of Columbia Heights
does ordain:
Section 1
§9.107 SPECIFIC\
DEVELOPMENT STANDARDS.
City Code of 2005, is proposed
to include the following addition
and shall hereafter read as follows,
to wit:
(C)(16)(c) For child day care
facilities, at least 75 square feet
of outdoor play area shall be
provided for each child under care.
If there is not sufficient space for
an outdoor play area on -site, then
the property owner must submit a
written proposal that demonstrates
recreational activities for children
under the facility's care will be
provided off -site within 1,500 feet
of the facility. The City Manager, or
his or her designee, is authorized to
approve or deny this proposal.
Section 2
This Ordinance shall be in full
force and effect from and after 30
days after its passage.
