HomeMy WebLinkAbout2024-008 Appointment of Election Judges and Election Judge Pay (PNP)RESOLUTION 2024-08 A RESOLUTION DESIGNATING ELECTION JUDGE SALARIES AND ELECTION JUDGES FOR THE March 5, 2024, PRESIDENTIAL PRIMARY WHEREAS, There are scheduled elections in the City of Columbia Heights and the State of MN; and WHEREAS, the City Clerk's Office has determined the minimum number of Election Judges required to adequately administer each polling location in the City, and will assign a Head Judge and Assistant Head Judge to each polling location; and WHERAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statute§ 204B.19, the City Clerk's Office will ensure that no more than half, plus one, of all Election Judges in a polling location be affiliated with the same major political party; and WHERAS, pursuant to City Charter, Section 30, the Council shall appoint the following qualified voters to be judges for the 2024 Presidential Primary: Gail Halling Janis Arnold Mari Bilek Veronica Johnson Lamar Hamilton Allegra Birdseye-Hannula Gene Forseide Susan Wiseman Julienne Wyckoff Francis Hoefgen Joyce Lipski Susan Betzold Nancy Hord Barb Schoonover Gordon Anderson Leslie Hunter -Larson Sophia Walker Kevin Doty Angela Nielsen Robert Yount Elizabeth Lindskoog Patricia Powell Larry Betzold Amy Nord April Thomas Teresa Brown Joseph Piwoschuk Patricia Gausvick Diane Northrup Renee Sawyer Lance Strand Robert Odden Patti Highland Michele Schluender Catherine Trouche Stephen Emme Dan Steiskal Marsha Stroik Paul Jones Jeffrey Berger Aurora Johnston Stacy Nekora Harold Clark Jill Ahlquist Lynn Condos Mark Emme Samira Adam Tsenat Mamo Celeste Johnson Sarah Bloom Samara Bileyeu-Anderson Derek Schansberg David Comstock Shelly Johnson Connie Shackle Paul Cram Hannah Kirkman Coleen Forseide Lois Fimmano Elizabeth Poindexter Barbara Miller Candace Lockwood-Botz Jill Wilkie Warren Green Jeanette Behr NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights does appoint the afore mentioned as election judges, for the Presidential Primary on March 5, 2024, with an hourly compensation of $16 for Head Judge, $15 for Assistant Head Judge, $14 for Election Judge and $14 for Student Judge. The City Clerk may reassign judges to different precincts and designate additional and/or emergency judges, as necessary.
