BACKGROUND:
For the October and November work sessions, the prerecorded 2023 budget presentations prepared by each City

each prerecorded presentation, there will be time for questions and live discussion at the work session. The planned
order of the presentation is as follows:

Recreation
Fire

Community Development
Liquor
Finance (including departments formerly known as General Government)

Like the budget presentation at the September work session, council members may find it useful to bring to these
upcoming work sessions their copy of the City Manager’s 2023 Budget book distributed in August. Much of the
information in the prerecorded presentations is drawn from that larger budget document. These work sessions are also
a good opportunity for any questions on any information in that larger budget document that is not included in the
prerecorded presentations.
