ADOPTING WAGES FOR PUBLIC WORKS SEASONAL AND INTERN WAGES
WHEREAS, the City of Columbia Heights adopted a Wage Compensation Program for Non-Unionized City
Employees effective January 1, 1980 (Resolution 80-471, which indicated that on an annual basis, changes may
be adopted in Wage Ranges; and
WHEREAS, effective January 1,2O2! the State of Minnesota minimum wage was increased from the current
S10.00 per hour to S10.08 per hour.
WHEREAS, given the current economy and job market, the Public Works, is having difficulty filling seasonal
positions and must offer a competitive pay rate to attract and retain quality worker to best serve the City in
the current market.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE lT RESOLVED, that the City of Columbia Heights establishes new wage ranges for non-
union seasonal/temporary Public Works and Part Time intern position as indicated on Schedule l, which is
attached and on file in the office of the City Manager.
BE lT FURTHER RESOLVED, Minimum wage is now and hereafter set as the State Designated Minnesota Wage
Rate.
BE lT FURTHER RESOwED that such amendments shall be effective January L,2O2L
