I. Adult Programs and Displays
a. This month’s take and make craft kit for adults was a fall leaf garland activity. 30 kits were
distributed.
b. The library and the Rec Department offered a “Notes of Gratitude” writing program at
Murzyn Hall on Nov. 4. Six adults attended.
c. The library hosted the Minnesota Center for Book Arts for a Legacy-funded crafting
program offered via Zoom. “Pop-out Cardmaking” was held on Nov. 9 for 13 participants.
d. The adult book club met via Zoom on Nov. 18. Four adults discussed “Magpie Murders” by
Anthony Horowitz.
e. Adult displays included MO-vember and new books.
f. The Centennial Celebration glass display case this month highlighted the 1940s and was
presented by the Friends of the Library.
g. Curbside materials pickup continued throughout the month, offered in some capacity on
Monday-Friday each week.
h. The virtual ESL conversation circle continues, Monday evenings at 6 pm. The program
is offered in partnership with the Adult Basic Education Center.
II. Meetings
a. I met with HeightsNEXT to plan a virtual pet beds program.
b. I met with Bri to plan a joint Winter Reads program.
c. I attended a CareerForce training with Anoka County via Zoom on Nov. 18.
d. I attended the MELSA adult programming meeting via Zoom on Nov. 18.
III. Projects
a. Adult DVDs were ordered.
b. Adult Audiobooks were ordered.
IV. Other
a. Six At-Home-Deliveries were made, following safe, curbside procedures.
