I. COLLECTION PROJECTS
A. Magazines: Magazine labels were typed for newly received magazines.
B. Damaged Shelf: Items older than 1 month were cleared from the shelf this month.
C. Paperback order: One paperback order was sent this month.
D. Book Display: There was no display this month since we are encouraging patrons to limit
their time in the building to 90 minutes and seating by the fireplace is blocked off.
E. Weeding Projects: Renee and Bri are regularly giving me books to withdraw.
F. Withdrawn items: Books are withdrawn from the system each week and are placed in a box
to go to Better World Books if they are accepted by the company. If not or if they are in very
bad shape they are recycled.
II. MAINTENANCE
A. Fire extinguisher: The fire extinguishers were checked September 30th.
B. Security gates: Security gates were checked twice a day. Due COVID-19, our limited hours,
and no in-person programming the gatecount numbers are lower than at this time last year.
C. Public Works: This month, Public Works was here checking on items that staff had sent
tickets in for.
D. Month End Statistics: The statistics for the previous month will be totaled and sent to
staff by Wednesday, November 4th.
E. Bulletin Board: Old notices are removed once they have expired or have been up for thirty
days and new notices are put up as we receive them. The only new notices that have been put
up this month are city job openings, and voter information.
F. Reading: Shelf reading assignments were done by the pages, they have their assignments
for Fall.
G. Website and Facebook: Periodic updates of both Facebook and the web page were
completed. Both pages feature recurring events, one-time events, and information about what
services we are offering right now. Stay at Home storytimes are being posted on Monday
mornings, events put on by the recreation department were shared, and voter information was
shared.
