I. Adult Programs and Displays
a. There was no in-person programming this month. Adult displays included beach reads, new
books, and “tree hugging.”
b. The Centennial Celebration glass display case this month highlighted the early 1900s.
c. Curbside materials pickup continued throughout the month, offered in some capacity on
Monday-Friday each week.
d. The virtual ESL conversation circle continues, Monday evenings at 6 pm. The program
is offered in partnership with the Adult Basic Education Center.
II. Meetings
a. I met with the City’s Centennial Celebration planning committee on August 11 and August
25 via Zoom.
b. I attended the MELSA Adult Programming meeting on August 26 via Zoom.
c. I met with our local representative from Uline on August 27.
III. Projects
a. Events and programs for the fall City Newsletter were submitted.
b. Adult DVDs were ordered.
c. Weeding continued in the adult mystery section.
d. Fall program supplies for youth and adults were ordered.
IV. Other
a. Attended DEMCO Webcast: Reaching Patrons with Take-home Programs.
b. Attended DEMCO Webcast: Sustaining Community Engagement During a Pandemic.
c. I worked with Anoka County to coordinate fall Legacy programs for adults—Legacy
programs will also be virtual.
d. Four At-Home-Deliveries were made, following safe, curbside procedures.
