I. PROGRAMS
a. April live programs were cancelled due to COVID-19.
b. Virtual Storytimes are being offered Mondays at 10:30 on Facebook Premiere.
c. Graphic Novel Book Club met virtually on 4/29.
II. COLLECTION
a. Book orders placed this month include: SLJ 11/19, Growing Minds 11/19 and 12/19, Easy Readers, MYRA
Nominees, and Replacements and Adds.
b. Weeding of E fiction continued.
III. PROJECTS
a. Developed virtual storytime plans
b. Explored platform options for storytimes and youth programming
c. Recorded and edited virtual storytimes
d. Cancelled April programming (LibCal, conact vendors, email registrants)
e. Created a DIY Storytime document
f. Developed no-touch early literacy space experiences
g. Created a Tween reading list and Cloud Library recommendations list
h. Worked on city annual report content
i. Prepared for and delivered virtual Graphic Novel Book Club
j. Identified Somali and Arabic language materials to add to collection
k. Began planning for MN One Book program
l. Started planning virtual and social distancing summer activities
m. Prepared for and delivered ECFE virtual visits

V. STAFF
a. Kelly Olson worked on book orders. She completed her usual tasks including month end reports,
magazines, receiving books, and purchase requests. Additionally, she helped with curbside pickup and
she is deep cleaning and organizing youth materials.
b. Farrah Briest has been working on selection tools and processing.
