I.Significant AccomplishmentsA.Four sessions of pre-school storytime were held on 3/17, 3/18, 3/24,., and 3/25 with a total of 139 participants.B •. Four sessions of Tiny.Tots were held on 3/19 and 3/26 with a total of 109 participants.
II.Departmental GoalsA.The first budget meeting was held on �/16. Appropriate forms weredistributed.B.On 3/18 the local VFW post donated a flag with a stand for the library'smain-floor lobby. Marie Marquart coordinated this project for the library.C.On 3/20 Jo spoke_to Highland 1-3 graders on books and the library. Herpresentation ended a special project on writing and books by the students.D.On 3/20 Jeanine participated in a cable shoot.E. At the 3/23 Council meeting, Barb Miller and Pat Sowada accepted aproclamation for National Library Week (April 5-11) from Mayor Murzyn.F.Three important dates have been announced for the online public accesscatalog: April 16-17 (switch-over of the telecommunications network) andApril 23 (switch-over of.the mainframe computer).G.On 4/3 the library received about 800 banana boxes from Rainbow Foods touse during the re-carpeting project in the adult reading room. TomO'Connor has been coordinating this for the library.
III.Issues arid ProblemsA.Mary Cooper submitted her resignation on 3/30.
