be able to pick up their fired pots at the library the beginning of May.
b. 16 teens participated in a 4-H STEAM activity in which they made slime and learned about polymers on
April 9th.
c. LEGO Club met on Wednesday, April 10th. 6 kids used engineering skills, problem solving, and design
thinking to build their unique LEGO creations.
d. At our April Graphic Novel Book Club meeting we introduced 2 new members, talked about books and
graphic novels we love, and creating graphic novels.
e. We hosted another successful READ Dogs event on April 17th in which all 6 slots were full. These youth
had a chance to read to Ladybug, a Jack Russell Terrier, and get reading practice in a nonjudgmental
environment.
f. We ended the month with a STEAM Saturday event in which school age youth learned all about
Mycology through a partnership with Spark Y. Youth not only learned about the fungi lifecycle, but they
also cultured their own fungi to take home.
