HomeMy WebLinkAbout2019-47RESOLUTION NO. 2019 -47 A resolution of the City Council for the City of Columbia Heights, Minnesota, WHEREAS, the Minnesota Public Facilities Authority (MPFA) and the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) jointly administer a state funding program that may use revenue bonds, or Federal Capitalization Grants, or proceeds of state general obligation bond funds, or state appropriations from the Clean Water Legacy Fund, or other funds of the MPFA for a Point Source Implementation Grant program for municipalities to reduce phosphorus in their public system infrastructure for improvement projects approved by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency; and WHEREAS, an application to participate in the Point Source Implementation Grant (PSIG) program was made in 2018 for funding for the Silver Lake Boat Landing Pond Reconstruction; and WHEREAS, the City of Columbia Heights was notified by the Minnesota Pollution Control Agency on June 28, 2018 of approval to participate in the PSIG program and receive eligible funds in the amount of $318,521; and WHEREAS, a Grant Agreement between the Minnesota Public Facilities Authority and the City of Columbia Heights was received on May 31, 2019. Now, therefore, in accordance with the foregoing, and all ordinances and regulations of the City of Columbia Heights, the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights makes the following: FINDINGS OF FACT 1. The City Council hereby approves the Point Source Implementation Grant Agreement between the Minnesota Public Facilities Authority and the City of Columbia Heights, and furthermore authorizes the Mayor and City Manager to execute the Grant Agreement.
