I. PROGRAMS
a. Tech Wizards started up for the year on September 11th. Teens voted on a school-year focus of video
games. Brainstorming and learning the software has begun.
b. 35 kids and caregivers kicked off the first Lego Challenge (previously Lego Club) of the school year on
9/12. Lego Challenge allows kids a chance to problem solve, collaborate, and employ design thinking
while creating whatever they can dream up.
c. Graphic Novel Book Club will be offered once a month at the Middle School. We kicked off on 9/18.
Participants will not only have a chance to talk about and read their favorite graphic novels, but also
create their own comic.
d. STEAM Saturdays will be offered the last Saturday of the month throughout the school year. Our first
meeting provided families the chance to explore different stations on their own while making DIY Toys
that employ STEAM concepts such as kaleidoscopes and tops.
