RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ELIMINATION OF A PARCEL FROM THE CITY-WIDE SCATTERED SITE HOUSING TAX INCREMENT FINANCING DISTRICT WITHIN THE CENTRAL BUSINESS DISTRICT REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT OF THE CITY OF COLUMBIA HEIGHTS. WHEREAS, on October 10, 2011, the City of Columbia Heights (the "City") approved creation by the Columbia Heights Economic Development Authority ("EDA") of the City-Wide Scattered Site Housing Tax Increment Financing District (the "TIF District") within its Central Business District Redevelopment Project (the "Project"), by approval of a tax increment financing plan (the "TIT Plarn) for the TIF District; and WHEREAS, under Minnesota Statutes, Section 469.176, subd. 4(e), an authority may modify the TIF Plan without the hearings and findings required for creation of a new district, if the only modification is to eliminate a parcel from the district, and the current net tax capacity of the parcel at least equals the original net tax capacity of the parcel; and WHEREAS, the following property, by property identification number, was included in the 'TIF District: 26-30-24-43-0074 referred to as the ``Subject Parcel,` and WHEREAS, the current net tax capacity of the Subject Parcel is $0 (because it is owned by the EDA), and the original net tax capacity of the Subject Parcel is likewise $0 (because it was owned by the EDA at the time the TIT District was filed for certification); and WHEREAS, the City desires by this resolution to amend the TIF Plan to remove the Subject Parcel frorn the T11', District, thereby reducing the size thereof, and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the board of cornmissioners of the EDA as follows: The TIF Plan for the TIF District is hereby amended to remove the Subject Parcel, 2. EDA staff are authorized and directed to maintain a copy of this resolution with the records for the TIF District, and to send copies of this resolution to the Anoka County Auditor in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, Section 469.175, Subdivision 4, clause (c), and to the Minnesota Commissioner of Revenue and the State Auditor in accordance with Minnesota Statutes, Section 469, 175, 4a.
