COLLECTION PROJECTS A. Magazines: Magazine labels were typed for newly received magazines. B. Damaged Shelf: Items older than 3 months were cleared from the shelf this month. C. Paperback order: Two paperback orders were sent in this month. D. Paperback Display: This month’s theme was ‘Spooky Books’. E. Weeding Projects: Renee is going through nonfiction and giving me books to withdraw semiregularly. F. Last copy/withdrawn items: We no longer get a Last Copy list each week but we are still weeding and withdrawing items. Books were withdrawn from the system each week and were placed in a box to go to Better World Books if they were accepted by the company. II. MAINTENANCE A. Fire extinguisher: The fire extinguisher was checked Thursday, November 17th. B. Security gates: Security gates do not need to be cleaned, only checked twice daily for the gatecount. C. Public Works: This month, Public Works was here to check on the progress of the solar installation, and the heating/cooling system again. III. MISCELLANEOUS A. ILL Drawer: The ILL drawers were maintained and a weekly count of filled requests has been kept. B. Month End Statistics: The statistics for the previous month will be totaled and sent out to staff by Monday, December 5th. C. Bulletin Board: Old notices are removed once they have expired or been up for four months and new notices are put up as we receive them. D. Shelf Reading: Shelf reading was not completed this month. Once the new pages are trained in and start their regular schedules shelf reading will become a priority again. E. Website and Facebook: Periodic updates of both Facebook and the Webpage were completed. The front page of the website shows ongoing events such as Maker Club and Conversation Circles.
