COLUMBIA HEIGHTS POLICE GUN RANGE
THIS AGREEMENT entered into this Iq day of ✓ 2016 by and between
the City of Columbia Heights and the City of Crystal.
WHEREAS, the City of Crystal Police Department desires to rent the City of Columbia
Heights Police Department gun range;
WHEREAS, the parties agree that a one -year agreement is in the mutual best interest of
both parties from a standpoint of staff time, billing, and convenience and cost savings;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY MUTUALLY AGREED, in consideration of each
parties promises, and considerations herein set forth as follows;
1. The Crystal Police Department shall have use of the Columbia Heights Police
Department gun range from 01/01/2017 to 12/31/2017 at such times and as coordinated by the
Columbia Heights Police Department to ensure range availability for both parties hereto.
2. The City of Crystal shall pay rent in the amount of $3,410.00 covering the term of this
Agreement as set forth above. Said rent shall be paid as follows: Due at the beginning of the
calendar year, upon receipt of the invoice from the Columbia Heights Police Department.
3. During the term of this Agreement, the Crystal Police Department shall also be allowed a
two week use of the Columbia Heights Police Department scenario -based training simulator for
no additional fee /consideration. The parties hereto shall establish a schedule as to when the
training simulator will be available for use by the Crystal Police Department.
4. Only sworn staff and other employees of the Crystal Police Department shall be allowed
use of said gun range under the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
5. The City of Crystal shall be responsible for any and all loss or damage to said gun range
as a result of the use thereof by its employees (other than what is consistent with the ordinary use
of such facility).
6. It shall be the sole responsibility of the City of Crystal to ensure the safety of its
employees while using said gun range.
7. Either Party may terminate this Agreement with or without cause upon 30 days written
notice. The payment of rent hereunder shall be prorated to the effective date of termination.
