War. b.Adult English language learners worked on their English speaking weekly, volunteer- c.Five adults attended Senior Surf, facilitated by the Metropolitan Area Agency on Aging, on Wednesday, March 2. d. instructor from the Loft Literary Center. e.Scrabble Club, facilitated by the Friends of the Library, was held Tuesday, March 15. Ten adults participated. f.The Library Book Club met Wednesday, March 16 to discuss g.The Nonfiction Book Club met Friday, March 18. Recommendations by participants include: by Amy Klobu : a Hmong family memoir h.Seventeen adult volunteers donated 77 hours in February. They assisted in the RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) labeling project, facilitated Conversation Circles and served as reading buddies to adult English language learners, delivered materials to at-home patrons, priced and prepared books for the sale cart, facilitated the non-fiction book club, served as greeters for library programs, set up a display in the glass display case and completed various tasks in the library. II.Meetings, etc. a.The Friends met Wednesday, March 9. The next meeting date will include a spring luncheon at Basha Grill, Wednesday, April 13 at 11:30 a.m. b.Friends will host a pancake breakfast at the Lighthouse on Friday, April 15, from 8:30 to 10 a.m. c.The Library Board met Wednesday, March 2. d.Barb participated in the ACL Arts and Culture Team Meeting at LSS on Tuesday, April 15. III.Projects a.Supplies, large print books, and adult audiobooks were ordered. b.Weeding Science Fiction and Fantasy was completed. Weeding continues in fiction and nonfiction. c.RFID Tagging of library books and other materials is underway by volunteers as available. d.Books and other materials were delivered to at-home patrons. e.Summer programming copy was submitted for Heights Happenings. f.Press releases were sent out to the Northeaster and Focus newspa
