Tantanella Member at Large C©t Brianna Belanger, Gary Peterson {Ò,;-·t February Operational Report Council Liaison Renee Dougherty 5·;t February 25, 2016 Library Director I.PROGRAMS a.Bulk loans of materials were prepared for ICS (1 bin for each of 6 classes). b.Classes from ICS visited on 2/4, 2/22, 2/23,2/24, and 2/25. c.Teen Advisory Board (TAB) met on 2/1. Six people attended the meeting. We did some get-to-know-you activities and worked on the YA March Madness Book Contest. d.Make & Take Tuesdays continued this month. Each Tuesday after storytime, we open up the Activity Room for people to make a craft. Craft time is eage kids and it is a good opportunity to practice cutting, coloring, e.LEGO Club took place on 2/11. 12 kids and teens built creations out of LEGO bricks. Orders were also placed in the following areas: replacements and adds and audiobooks. b.Weeding of E fiction was completed this month in addition to easy reader weeding. III.PROJECTS a.Prepared programs for summer. b.Created TAB agenda. c.Requested Legacy funded programming. d.Planned Farwell Celebration. e.Planned and Marketed Read Across America Day program. f.Maintained and planned early literacy experiences and teen passive programming for winter and spring. g.Explored opportunities for play spaces in new library. h. i.Submitted spring programs for library events calendar and added o eVanced online calendar. j.Maintained materials and prizes for winter reading program. IV.GRANTS, MEETINGS, COMMUNITY a.2/2: Attended CPR Training. b.2/5: Participated in conference call with State Library Services rega Columbia Heights Library. c.2/17: Met with Early Literacy Team @ LSS. d.2/19: Met with Youth Community Engagement Team at LSS. e.2/24: Met with 4-H Program Coordinator about Teen Tech Wizards V.STAFF a.This month the major projects page staff worked on are as follows: selection tools, processing, and weeding. b.Kelly Olson worked on book orders and withdrawing old magazines. the many bulk loan bins we had this month. She completed her us month end reports, magazines, counting money, receiving books, and purchase requests. c.Michelle Wermerskirchen planned make & take crafts for the winter reading program, sent out press releases for upcoming programs, finished the spri calendar, and created one new bulletin board.
