II.TECHNOLOGY III.COLLECTION A.Print books were ordered weekly. Adult selections were made from the July and August issues of Booklist, Library Journal and Kirkus Reviews. Patron requests and popular paperbacks were also ordered. from the May and June th issues of Booklist, the May issue of School Library Journal, and the May 15 issue of Kirkus Reviews. Audiobooks and DVDs were also ordered. B.Weeding of adult nonfiction occurred in nonfiction section 302.3-306.73. Weeding of adult Mystery A-Co was completed. Weeding continued in juvenile picture books. IV.PROGRAMS A.An Afterschool Family Game Night was hosted by the Teen Advisory11/2. B.A Senior Surf computer class for older adults was offered on 11/4. C.The Friends of the Library met on 11/4. D.The Library Board met on 11/4. E.A Block Party for young children was held on 11/6. F.,adults was taught by an instructor from the Minnesota Textile Center on 11/9. G.LEGO Club was offered on 11/12. H.Four Head librarian provided a special storytime experience for the students. I.The adult Fiction Book Club met on 11/18 to discuss Until They Bring the Streetcars BackStanley Gordon West. J.The Adult Non-Fiction Book Club met on 11/20. K.Three sessions of Toddler Storytime were offered. L.Three sessions of Preschool Storytime were offered. M.Three sessions of Baby Read, Baby Grow were offered. N.Six classes from Immaculate Conception School visited. O.Bulk loans were prepared for Immaculate Conception School and Mini-Adventure Club. P.Conversations Circles, facilitated by a native English speaker, were offered for language learners throughout the month. Q.One-on-one mentoring for adults learning to read was offered by the Buddy Up and Read volunteers. R.Materials were selected and delivered to At-Home patrons. S.Adult volunteers donated 47 hours of service to the Library this month by leading conversation with English language learners, mentoring adults leand delivering materials to at-home patrons, preparing materials for the book sale cart, and facilitating book clubs. V.STAFF A.Full-time staff attended one of three open enrollment meetings about a change to city- provided health insurance in 2016. B.Nine members of the staff received safety training on 11/19. C.was introduced to the Library Board on 11/4. She attended an Early Childhood Parent Association event on 11/19 and an event for parents at Columbia Academy on 11/24. She attended an Anoka County LibraSummer Reading planning meeting on 11/20. D.Clerk Typist Kelly Olson met with the city Employee of the Year selection committee on 11/30. E.Adult Services Librarian Barb Kondrick attended a meeting of the Anoka County Library Arts and Culture Programming Group on 11/24. VI.FOUNDATION A.The Library Foundation met on 11/9 and 11/14 to prepare direct mail solicitations of selected individuals for support of the new library. VII.MISC A.The final MELSA Survey of 2015 was conducted from November 2-7, 2015. B.The American Association of Retired Persons used the Activity ro-Fi to present TEK (Technology, Education, Knowledge) classes for older adults on using tablets and social media on 11/4. C.On 11/5 I met with Marlene Moulton Janssen and Maggie Snow about the planned RFID implementation at the Anoka County Library. D.I met with the Anoka County Library Management Team on 11/12. E.Joe Hogeboom, Kelli Bourgeois and I made a presentation to the Northeast Bank Foundation on 11/19. The Foundation has indicated a desire to ma amenities planned for the new library. F.I met with city staff and HGA designer Jane Dedering on 11/23 to plan for sh furniture at the new library. G.I met with the Anoka County Library Public Services Team on 11/25.
