Tantanella TO: Renee Dougherty, Library Director Member at Large FROM: Barb Kondrick, Adult Services Librarian Gary Peterson Council Liaison SUBJECT: Adult Services August 2015 Operational Report Renee Dougherty DATE: August 25, 2015 Library Director I.Adult Programs and Displays a.The main floor lobby area contains an ongoing display for the new library. b.Adult book displays include: Hot Reads Staff Favorites ple a New Series This c.Four adults attended Senior Surf on Wednesday, August 5. d.The Nonfiction Book Club met Friday, August 21. Five adults attended. Recommended edited by Stanley Wells, Anjna Chouhan and others, by Jon Boyfriend e.The Library Book Club met Wednesday, August 19, Labor Dayby Joyce rd Maynard. Book Club meetings were changed to the 3 Wednesday of the month, to avoid scheduling conflicts. f.Adult volunteers donated over 92 hours in August. They delivered materials to at-home patrons, priced and prepared books for the sale cart and book sale, staffed the book sale, facilitated the non-fiction book club, and completed various tasks in the library. g.At-home patrons checked out 29 items, delivered by volunteers and staff. II.Meetings a.The Library Board met Wednesday, August 5. b.The Foundation met Wednesday, August 5. III.Projects a.Weeding continued for music CDs. b.Orders were placed for DVDs, music CDs adult audiobooks on CD and supplies. c.Library Friends and volunteers assisted in an end-of- August 13-15. Total sales were $733.40, $684.62 after tax. d.Barb and Bethany collaborated on a volunteer recognition event for teen and adult volunteers, Monday, August 10. Volunteers, their immediate families, and Buddy Up ebration at the library, where Library Board members presented the volunteers with certificates of appreciation, thanking the volunteers for their work over the past year.
