Subject: February Operational Report

I. COLLECTION PROJECTS
A. Magazines: Magazine labels were typed for newly received magazines.
B. Damaged Shelf: Items older than 3 months were cleared from the shelf twice this
month.
C. Paperback order: An order was not placed yet this month. I'm waiting for
instructions from Renee D.
D. Paperback Display: This month's theme was "The Luck of the Irish ". The books on
display did not circulate as well as those in last month's display.
E. Weeding projects: The weeding project for Barb is now up to 960 in adult DVDs,
781.66 L in adult CDs, and all kids DVDs have been weeded.
F. Last copy /withdrawn items: items were withdrawn from the system and placed
with donation items to be added to the sale cart.
II. MAINTENANCE
A. Fire extinguishers: Fire extinguishers were checked March 24th.
B. Security gates: Security gate filters were cleaned March 24th.
C. Public Works: Eric Hanson came to look at the handicapped door at the back
entrance but Renee D. and Renee R. had already fixed it. There was a follow up visit a
few days later and it has been working fine since then.
III. MISCELLANEOUS
A. ILL Drawer: The ILL drawers were maintained and a weekly count of filled requests
has been kept.
B. Month End Statistics: The statistics for the previous month will be totaled and then
distributed to staff for their records and /or use on Wednesday April 1st.
C. Bulletin Board: The Bulletin board was maintained and cleaned this month.
D. Shelf Reading: So far the list is about 1/3 completed because of the small number of
pages. The new pages are on the list for April and there will be a note to pay special
attention to any sections that were not shelf -read by the end of this month.
E. Website and Facebook: Periodic updates were completed. The Facebook post
regarding the open meeting about the new library got a lot of likes and was shared.
