(WSB) to the City of Columbia Heights (City) to complete stormwater redesign alternatives and an associated Clean Water Fund grant application for the existing stormwater pond near the Silver Lake boat landing. SCOPE OF SERVICE Data Collection: WSB will coordinate with City staff to collect as -built drawings to determine elevations for inlet and outlets, City's Surface Water Management Plan, Rice Creek Watershed District Plan, and TMDL plans, LiDAR, and other data as necessary. BMP Evaluation — To improve the removal percentage of phosphorous in the Silver Lake Boat Landing pond, WSB will evaluate two redesign options. Potential options to be evaluated include: *expanding and /or deepening the existing pond to improve removal efficiency and minimize algae growth •inlet and outlet modifications *incorporating bioretention/filtration area downstream of the pond. This activity has been identified as a wasteload reduction activity under the Silver Lake TMDL and has been the source of concern from local residents due to the poor water quality within the pond. The goal of the design is to increase phosphorous removal while retaining /improving aesthetics and not increasing maintenance requirements for vegetation management. Clean Water Fund Grant Application- Competitive funds are available for these types of projects under the Clean Water Fund Program administered by the MN Board of Water and Soil Resources (BWSR) and MN Department of Agriculture. WSB proposes to complete a grant application that requests funds from the BWSR Projects and Practices program. This program may provide up to 75% of the total cost of a project, with a minimum non -state match of 25 %. Minneapolis ■ St. Cloud Equal Opportunity Employer Mr. Walter R.
