CITY HALL CONFERENCE ROOM 1 Call to Order The meeting was called to order by President Steve Smith at 7:00 p.m. Roll Call Members present: Matt Abel, Ramona Anderson, James Guy, Roger Johnson, Mike Patiuk, Greg Sloat, Steve Smith, Charles Tyler, Tim Utz, Catherine Vesley, and Wes Wiggins Members absent and excused: Lee Bak, Jeff Diehm, Carolyn Laine Members absent and unexcused: Rob Fiorendino City Attorney Jim Hoeft and Recording Secretary Carole Blowers were present. Council Liaison Taml Diehm was absent. Approval of Tonight's A eg nda Motion was made by Commissioner Vesley, seconded by Commissioner Abel, to approve tonight's agenda. Approval of Charter Commission Minutes of January 16, 2014 Motion was made by Commissioner Abel, seconded by Commissioner Vesley, to approve the minutes of January 16, 2014, as presented. Correspondence The Recording Secretary read the correspondence log since last meeting: • On January 21, e- mailed four Charter Commission members who were absent at the January meeting that our April meeting was changed to April 24 and who the new officers were. • On January 22, typed the January commission minutes. • On April 16, sent an e -mail reminder to all members, City Attorney, and Council Liaison about change in April meeting date. On same date, prepared and sent agenda per President Smith for April 24t meeting and the meeting minutes from January. Received e -mail from Commissioner Laine that she will probably not be able to attend on April 24. Called Commissioner Wiggins that his e -mail messages bounced back; got a different e -mail address and resent the agenda/minutes. • On April 17, received an e -mail from Commissioner Diehm that he will not be able to attend on April 24. • On April 18, received an e -mail from a commissioner for meeting minutes of January of 2012, which were sent on April 21. • Put tonight's agenda on the city's website and on local cable TV station, and posted it at City Hall • On April 23, received e -mail from Commissioner Bak that he will probably be unable to attend on April 24; prepared correspondence log since January meeting. • Received an application from a citizen to become a commission member, which will be forwarded to the Chief Judge (Note: We do not have any openings at this time.)
