COLUMBIA HEIGHTS POLICE DEPARTMENT
SHOOTING RANGE USE AGREEMENT
The Columbia Heights Police Department may make the Columbia Heights Shooting Range (herein
"shooting range")facilities which are located at 825 41"Avenue NE available to conduct qualifying shoots and
to conduct training activities.
The C ltySTA L Pa L me, (herein"Agency") is a law enforcement agency and wishes to conduct such
activities at the Firing Range. The date,time, cost,and duration of use is to be arranged and approved by the
Chief of the Columbia Heights Police Department or designee prior to the use of the Firing Range facility.
Agency acknowledges and represents that all persons participating in activities conducted by the Agency are
covered by Workers' Compensation Insurance coverage as required by the State of Minnesota through the
Agency for any injuries that may occur during such activities.
In consideration of being permitted by Columbia Heights Police Department to conduct activities at the
Firing Range facilities, which activities may consist of firearms practice, qualifying shoots, and other training,
the Agency through its authorized agent, agrees to defend and indemnify, the City of Columbia Heights its
elected officials, officers, employees and agents (herein"City") from any and all liability, loss, damages,costs
and expenses,including attorney's fees,which the City may incur or be required to pay as result of any or all
claims,demands or judgments arising out of or related to or alleged to have arisen out of any activity connected
directly or indirectly with such activities conducted by the Agency.
This document contains the entire agreement between the parties hereto and the terms of this agreement
are contractual and not a mere recital.

AGREEMENT FOR 2014 CRYSTAL RENTAL OF
COLUMBIA HEIGHTS POLICE GUN RANGE
THIS AGREEMENT entered into this V day of 2013 by and between
the City of Columbia Heights and the City of Crystal.
WHEREAS,the City of Crystal Police Department desires to rent the City of Columbia
Heights Police Department gun range;
WHEREAS,the parties agree that a one-year agreement is in the mutual best interest of
both parties from a standpoint of staff time, billing, and convenience and cost savings;
NOW,THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY MUTUALLY AGREED,in consideration of each
party's promises, and considerations herein set forth as follows;
i. The Crystal Police Department shall have use of the Columbia Heights Police
Department gun range from 01/01/2014 to 12/31/2014 at such times and as coordinated by the
Columbia Heights Police Department to ensure range availability for both parties hereto.
2. The City of Crystal shall pay rent in the amount of$1,600.00 covering the term of this
Agreement as set forth above. Said rent shall be paid as follows:
3. Only sworn staff and other employees of the Crystal Police Department shall be allowed
use of said gun range under the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
4. The City of Crystal shall be responsible for any and all loss or damage to said gun range
as a result of the use thereof by its employees (other than what is consistent with the ordinary use
of such facility).
5. It shall be the sole responsibility of the City of Crystal to ensure the safety of its
employees while using said gun range.
6. Either Party may terminate this Agreement with or without cause upon 30 days written
notice. The payment of rent hereunder shall be prorated to the effective date of termination.
