Election of Secretary
President Steve Smith stated when Rachel Schwankl decided not to be reappointed, we then did not have a
Secretary for the Commission. So a new Secretary should be elected. Members decided not to fill the Secretary
position officially tonight, but that position should be filled in January when we elect new officers.
Status of Membership
Rob Fiorendiono is the latest appointment to the Charter Commission. He introduced himself to the
commission. We have one vacancy on the commission at this time. Katherine Pepple's four year term ended in
September, and she has not asked to be reappointed. As of tonight, Nick Jentsch has now missed four
consecutive meetings without being excused, and he has not attended since April of 2011. He should be
removed from the commission. His term was to end in March of 2015.
Correspondence
The correspondence log since our last meeting was read, which included various e -mails between
Commissioner Tyler and President Smith; city charter pages were updated with latest change regarding

Mayor and Councilmembers, and our meeting agenda was listed on cable TV.
