Attending with Renee, library informational handouts and magnets with the hours were given out. We also had an interactive game, the “Ducky Pond,” where people could pick a rubber duck swimming in a little pool to win a small token prize. Books, preview CDs, buttons, bracelets, and lollipops were received with much enthusiasm by those who played! It was agreed that having an activity during these kinds of events opens the door for engagement and dialogue, and this is something we will continue to do in the future. V.STAFF a.Pages are working hard to keep up with the higher volume of shelving. With the addition of so many more programs this summer, they have been indispensable by assisting before and during Wacky Wednesdays and special programs. They have been assisting with the Reading Club registrations, processing books, weeding, and making booklists with the selection tools. i.Michelle W. assisted with the READ Dog program. st b.Library Aide: Candice continues to collect 21 Century program statistics and reporting program participation and attendance. She assists in setting up and registration for Wacky Wednesday programs, as well as maintains the checkout desk during other busy program times. She has completed publicity posters for August children’s programs. She assisted with sending out library cards when Kelly was not here. c.Children’s Clerk: In the times we were short-staffed, Kelly often assisted patrons at the checkout desk. She kept up with her monthly duties: book orders, money count, PO’s, bills, and statistics.
