COLLECTION PROJECTS
I.
Magazines
A.: Magazine labels were typed for newly received magazines.
Weeding:
B. General weeding of the nonfiction collection continued this month. Last
copies in Workflows of materials Columbia Heights owns were weeded this month as
well. Weeding of DVDs, CDs, and audiobooks was also done this month.
Paperback Order:
C. Lists of paperbacks to order were checked against Workflows in
order to determine if they would be ordered.

Damaged Shelf:
D. The damaged shelf was cleaned April 12.
MAINTENANCE PROJECTS

Security Gates:
A. Filters were cleaned on April 18.

Air Fresheners:
B. Air Fresheners were replaced on April 18.
th
Fire Extinguishers:
C. Fire extinguishers were checked on April 18.
th
Heights Electric:
D. Heights Electric was out to the library April 9 to do the annual
checking of emergency lights and batteries. They also replaced a light switch in each
bathroom on the main level.
MISCELLANEOUS
III.
ILL Drawer:
A. The ILL drawers were maintained this month.
Paperback Display:
B. A paperback display featuring paperbacks of African-American
authors and stories was maintained this month.
Month End Statistics:
C. The statistics for the previous month were totaled and then
distributed to staff for their records and/or use.
Bulletin Board:
D.The Bulletin board was maintained and cleaned this month.
Shelf Reading:
E. Lists generated for the Pages to write their progress down from shelf
reading were made this month.
Boardroom Inventory:
F. An inventory of the Boardroom was created this month
based on the contents of drawers and cabinets. Those drawers and cabinets were then
given a number and the inventory list was created from that.
Website & Facebook:
G. Various updates were done to the library portion of the public
website including adding pages for current library events, revamps to existing pages,
adding agendas for Library Board meetings, adding agendas for the Task Force meetings,
and keeping the calendar up to date. Updates to Facebook included a Note to patrons
from the Library Director, and links to various areas/events from the website.
