Families were also interested to hear about resources and programs available at the

were prepared for her, and she delivered a short presentation and also distributed
information about the library to parent attendees.

the bulk loan pick up, costume storytime, and she organized the copy room and alley.
c. Temporary Children’s Library Aide: Ramon Gomez is working on the F&P booklists.
He also did the preparation work for the fundraiser.
d. Pages have been doing a wonderful job in keeping up with their day to day tasks as well
additionally assisting because of staff shortages. Pages weeded, worked on selection
tools, processed new books, completed a number of inventory projects (using
Workflows,) put up two new bulletin displays “Teen Read Week” & “Fall into Reading,”
assisted preparation for storytime, program set-up, and Teen Read Week.

a. Book purchasing is a major project that will continue next month. The money for
standing orders that has been unspent is to be reallocated and will go towards
replacement books within those series, board books, and additional purchases.

award nominees; SLJ for 3/2011 and 4/2011; Kirkus for 5/15/2011.

to the collection.
d. Weeding
a. Young Adult: YA FIC H-R titles with extremely low circulation, multiple copies,
or poor condition were discarded. The YA shelving space is continues to be
limited despite the weeding.
b. Weeding continues ahead of schedule for J CDs, E and NF.
c. J Fiction: This area has not been weeding since the last 3-yr cycle. Though we
are supposed to be on letter D, pages will begin at A and try to work through the
assigned area (A-F) before the end of the year.
