I added one new At Home patron and re-activated service for a patron who had suspended her use of the program in 2009. c.Seven volunteers contributed thirty-two and one half hours of service this month. They served as reading buddies, reviewed materials for acquisition, delivered materials to At Home patrons, reviewed DVDs and audiobooks for damage, dusted shelves, and prepared items for the booksale cart. d.The adult book group hosted mystery author David Housewright on September 28. Mr. Housewright spoke with 40+ people about mystery fiction, conducting research, creating characters, the importance of setting in fiction, and more specifically, his own work. He was a thoroughly engaging and entertaining speaker and responded to numerous questions from the audience. Nancy Rathbun won the door prize, an autographed copy of “Resort to Mystery.” II.Collection Development a.A small batch of adult music CDs were added this month, including cast recordings from two Tony Award winning musicals.
