I. PROGRAMS
a. Three Monday afternoon movies have been shown
i. Series of Unfortunate Events 7/11: 9
ii. Babe 7/18: 6
iii. Shrek 7/25: 15
b. Four Storytime sessions were held on Tuesday mornings in July
i. 7/5: 12
ii. 7/12: 52
iii. 7/19: 28
iv. 7/26: 39
c. One bulk loan was sent July 26 for the Adventure Club. It included books about various
periods of history.
d. Wacky Wednesday had four performances in July
i. 7/6: 92
ii. 7/13: 108
iii. 7/20: 49
iv. 7/27: 117
e. Summer Reading Club for elementary and teen students began in June
i. Elementary: 557
ii. Teen: 199
iii. Total: 756
II. PROJECTS
a. Summer Reading Club continues into August.
b. Pages will continue weeding the easy books
c. Volunteens will continue cleaning the easy books.
d. Pages and Volunteens continue updating the Fountas and Pinnell booklists.
III. STAFF
a. Library Aide has been working on the American Girl invitations as well as working on
various booklists. She also was away for a week on leave.
b. Library Clerk has been working on American Girl program as well as assisting with
Summer Reading Club and various other projects.
c. Pages continue on weeding and have reached Easy E’s at this time. Along with the
Volunteens they had been working on updating the Fountas and Pinnell booklists used by
many schools.
d. Volunteens have been working on booklists and cleaning the Easy books. They have
logged over 300 hours this summer.
e. Children's Department Assistant has been working on updating various booklists,
maintaining supply levels with Summer Reading Club, monitoring the Volunteens,
collection development and various other projects as needed.
IV. COLLECTIONS
a. Weeding completed for Easies section B, C and S, and Young Adult F.
b. A Manga order and replacements order were sent. Selection tools were continued.
