1. PROJECT CONCRETE FLOOR RESTORATION SPECIAL PROVISIONS
Issues Buildings Consulting Group, Inc. (BCG) was involved with the 2010 condition
study of the Columbia Heights Maintenance Garage to determine the current
condition of the Maintenance Garage Supported Slab. The results of the

garage slab.
Project Description The Columbia Heights Maintenance Facility was constructed in 1973 and
consists of one structurally supported level. The total area of the structurally
supported level measures approximately 210 feet by 110 feet. The

behavior of different structural systems, the interaction between the structural
components and the waterproofing protection systems to prevent recurrence
of the distress.
• Understanding of the practicality or limitations of repair material selection,
costs, compatibility between new and existing construction materials,
potential future effects of weather and thermal movement and the behavior of
materials, and the durability and ease of future maintenance.
• Historical cost data system on many local projects, which provides more
accurate and reliable cost estimate for repairs options.
