PROGRAMS a. Three Monday afternoon movies have been shown i. How to Train Your Dragon 6/13: 9 ii. Nanny McPhee Returns 6/20: 15 iii. Coraline 6/27: 9 b. Three Storytime sessions were held on Tuesday mornings in June. i. 6/14: 35 ii. 6/21: 72 iii. 6/28: 42 c. One bulk loan was sent June 17 for the Adventure Club. It included books about various periods of history. d. Wacky Wednesday had three performances in June i. 6/15: 92 ii. 6/22: 96 e. Summer Reading Club for elementary and teen students began in June i. Elementary: 406 ii. Teen: 144 iii. Total: 550 II. PROJECTS a. Summer Reading Club continues into August. b. Pages will continue weeding the easy books c. Volunteens will continue cleaning the easy books. III. STAFF a. Library Aide has created displays for summer reading, been keeping track of summer reading number counts, creating signs for the various programs and has been a huge help with the Summer Reading Club. b. Library Clerk has done a great deal of work assisting with the Summer Reading Club and Volunteens in addition to all of her regular tasks. She also had her Performance Evaluation this month c. Pages continue to be a key part of Summer Reading Club and will be continuing the weeding project this month and into future months. d. Volunteens began working this month. We have 12 Volunteens helping with the Summer Reading Club and Various other tasks going on over the course of the summer. e. Children's Department Assistant has been working on updating various booklists, maintaining supply levels with Summer Reading Club, monitoring the Volunteens and various other projects as needed. IV. COLLECTIONS a. Weeding completed for E B section and for the end of J629. b. Three orders for School Library Journal 12/15/2010, Booklist 1/1-1/15/2011, and Kirkus 1/1/2011 completed for 61 new titles. Replacement order on 6/23/2011 for 18 titles.
