Magazines A.: Magazine labels were typed for newly received magazines. ACL Weeding: B. Last copies of materials within Workflows that Columbia Heights owns the last copy of were found and withdrawn. Others were then used on the Book Sale Cart. Weeding: C. General weeding of the collection continued this month in the 600 section of nonfiction. Weeding of DVD material 629-639 in nonfiction and the letter B was also completed. Damaged Shelf: D. The Damaged shelf was cleaned 4/21/2011. Paperback Weeding: E. Paperback weeding of A-D in the Fiction Paperbacks was done this month. MAINTENANCE PROJECTS II. th Security Gates: A. Filters were cleaned on April 20. th Air Fresheners: B. Air Fresheners were replaced on April 20. th Fire Extinguishers: C. Fire extinguishers were checked on April 20. th Public Works: D. Public Works came out to the Library April 12 to change a few light bulbs and to check if there may be any damage to the Sump Pump in the Activity Room closet. There was no damage. th Fire Alarm: E. The fire alarm on the downstairs door closest to 40 Ave. N.E. had its battery th changed April 18. Annual Maintenance: F. The annual maintenance projects including Carpet Cleaning, Mat Cleaning, and Blinds Cleaning have all been scheduled for 2011. A date and time for Painting is still being decided. MISCELLANEOUS III. ILL Drawer: A. The ILL drawers were maintained and a weekly count of filled requests has been up kept. Paperback Display: B. A Paperback display featuring paperbacks of the western genre was maintained this month. An additional display featuring African American authors and stories was also maintained this month. Month End Statistics: C. The statistics for the previous month were totaled and then distributed to staff for their records and/or use. Bulletin Board: D.The Bulletin board was maintained and cleaned this month. Shelf Reading: E. Lists generated for the Pages to write their progress down from shelf reading were made this month. Counts combination: F. The Adult program counts and Children’s program counts for 2011 were successfully combined in to one single spreadsheet this month. rg
