Three Sessions of Storytime were held on Tuesday mornings B. Three ICS classes visited the library the week of April 11 C. Bulk loan of materials to teachers within the community went out on April 21 D. Two groups from Columbia Heights Pre-school visited on April 27 E. Four session of Baby Read Baby Grow ( collaboration with ECFE) were held on Monday mornings F. Kids Read Dogs Listen met Four times on Monday evenings G. Barbara Tantanella volunteered to represent the library at the Valleyview carnival on April 1. Staff prepared materials for her to take for distribution II. COLLECTION A. Staff began cleaning and repairing music CDs. B. Relabeling of Book and CD combos was completed C. Weeding of the follow sections was completed: Juvie recorded music 781.6-781.6289, CD E A, Juvie Audio Book 629-639 &, Print B D. Orders were placed to B&T from a variety of selection tools E. A CD book combo order was prepared F. A Books on CD order was prepared G. An order for new Boardbooks was prepared H. An order for replacement Paperbacks in preparation for the summer rush was prepared III. PROJECTS A. Publicity materials for summer programs have been prepared B. Heights Happenings summer copy was written and submitted C. Summer events calendar was prepared including a Spanish version. Both are at the printers right now. See attached copies. D. Materials for distribution to area schools have been sent to the printer. Staff will collate and deliver to Heather Kopp at Columbia Heights School District for distribution. E. All summer programs have been booked. We have a full schedule this summer F. Supplies for the Summer Reading Program have been ordered. G. I received training via webinar on Working with the Workforce Center. H. Staff began shifting the non-fiction collection. IV. STAFF A. The Library Aide prepared registrations sheets, posters and flyers for summer programs. She also prepared National Library week bulletin Boards for both floors, established a new book display in the children’s department and aided in the preparation of book orders. B. The Library Clerk, placed and received several orders, provided two storytimes in the absence of the Children’s Librarian, and prepared monthly statistical reports. C. Pages continued to help with the weeding of materials, processed and mended books and CDs, aided in the preparation of book orders and continued to provide service to a growing number of patrons during the evening and weekend hours.
