COLLECTION PROJECTS
I.
Magazines
A.: Magazine labels were typed for newly received magazines.
ACL Weeding:
B. Last copies of materials within Workflows that Columbia Heights
owns the last copy of were found and withdrawn. Others were then used on the Book
Sale Cart.

Paperback Order:
C. A paperback order was completed on March 2 and on March

Weeding:
D. General weeding of the collection continued this month in the 500 section
of nonfiction. Weeding of audio/visual material CD780.542 J - 781.599 and the letter B
of audiobooks was also completed.
Damaged Shelf:
E. The Damaged shelf was cleaned 3/17/2011 and 3/29/2011.
Paperback Weeding:
F. Paperback weeding of various genres including Romance and
Mystery was done this month.
MAINTENANCE PROJECTS

Security Gates:
A. Filters were cleaned on March 16.
th
Air Fresheners:
B. Air Fresheners were replaced on March 16.
th
Fire Extinguishers:
C. Fire extinguishers were checked on March 16.
th
Men’s Room:
D. The faucet in the Men’s Room was fixed March 29. It had not been
dispensing a proper amount of water to wash hands.
MISCELLANEOUS
III.
ILL Drawer:
A. The ILL drawers were maintained and a weekly count of filled
requests has been up kept.
Paperback Display:
B. A Paperback display featuring paperbacks of a romantic nature
was maintained this month. An additional display featuring African American authors
and stories was also maintained this month.
Month End Statistics:
C. The statistics for the previous month were totaled and then
distributed to staff for their records and/or use.
Bulletin Board:
D.The Bulletin board was maintained and cleaned this month.
Shelf Reading:
E. Lists generated for the Pages to write their progress down from shelf
reading were made this month.
