HomeMy WebLinkAboutContract 2267zzs~ AGREEMENT FOR 2010 BROOKLYN CENTER RENTAL OF COLUMBIA HEIGHTS POLICE GUN RANGE THIS AGREEMENT entered into this ~~ r day of ~~~~:~~~°~ 2010 by and between the City of Columbia Heights and the City of Brooklyn Center. WHEREAS, the City of Brooklyn Center Police Department desires to rent the City of Columbia Heights Police Department gun range; WHEREAS, the parties agree that none-year agreement is in the mutual best interests of both parties from a standpoint of staff time, billing, convenience and cost savings; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY MUTUALLY AGREED, in consideration of each parties promises, and considerations herein set forth as follows; 1. The Brooklyn Center Police Department shall have use of the Columbia Heights Police Department gun range from 01/01/2010 to 12/31/2010 at such times and as coordinated by the Cohunbia Heights Police Department to ensure range availability for both parties hereto. 2. The City of Brooklyn Center shall pay rent in the amount of $4,000.00 covering the teen of this Agreement as set forth above. Said. rent shall be paid as fo]lows: 3. Dlzring the tens of this Agreement, the Brooklyn Center Police Department shall also be allowed a two week use of the Columbia Heights Police Department scenario-based training simulator for no additional fee/consideration. The parties hereto shall establish a schedule as to whe~~ the training simulator will be available for use by tl~o Brookly~~~ C'entcr Police Depa?-tment. 4. Only swo~7~ staff and other employees of the Brooklyn Confer Polito Depart~ne~~rt shall be allowed use of said gun range under the teens and conditions of this Agreement. 5. The City of Brooklyn Center shall be responsible for a,1y and all loss or damage to said gun range as a result of the use thereof by its employees (other than what is consistent with the ordinary use of such facility). 6. It shall be the sole responsibility of the City of Brooklyn Center to ensure the safety of its employees while using said gun range. 7. Either Party may terminate this Agreement with or without cause upon 30 days written notice. The payment of rent hereunder shall be prorated to the effective date of tenllination.
