COLLECTION PROJECTS
I.
Magazines
A. : Magazine labels were typed for newly received magazines.
ACL Weeding:
B. Last copies of materials within Workflows that Columbia Heights
owns the last copy of were found and withdrawn. Others were then used on the Book
Sale Cart.
Weeding:
C. Weeding of the nonfiction was done this month.
Paperback Order:
D. A Paperback Order was checked against the system for holdings
this month. The order will be completed in the near future.

Damaged Shelf:
E. The Damaged Shelf was checked December 22. Items residing
there for more than three months were discarded and a note was added to the patrons
record.
MAINTENANCE PROJECTS

Security Gates:
A. Filters were cleaned on December 18.

Air Fresheners:
B. Air Fresheners were replaced on December 18.

Fire Extinguishers:
C. Fire extinguishers were checked on December 18.
Public Works:
D. Public Works was called out this month to do a minor repair to the
main level Circulation Desk. A nail had popped out on the corner and part of the desk
was loose because of it. This was resolved. Also, moldy ceiling tiles in the lobby were
removed and replaced with new ones. Lastly, a glide was added to one of the Board
Room chairs so it could slide across the carpet without damaging it.
MISCELLANEOUS
III.
ILL Drawer:
A. The ILL drawers were maintained and a weekly count of filled
requests has been up kept.
Paperback Display:
B. An Holiday Fiction themed paperback display was maintained
for this month.
Month End Statistics:
C. The statistics for the previous month were totaled and then
distributed to staff for their records and/or use.
Bulletin Board:
D. The Bulletin board was maintained and cleaned this month.
Book Sale Cart:
E. The Book Sale cart was maintained this month.
