I. Programs
a. The Friends of the Library held elections for officers at their last meeting.
Rita Norberg is the new President, and Betty Robbins is the Treasurer.
The group agreed to volunteer at the spaghetti dinner fundraiser for the
Library Foundation.
b. At home service delivered 69 materials to 4 different patrons this month. I
have received more inquiries about the program with the onset of winter
just around the corner.
c. Volunteers put in 30 hours this month including: volunteering at the
spaghetti dinner, cleaning shelves and materials, and pricing book sale
materials.

d. The Minnesota Crime Wave appeared at the library on September 22.
Thirty-six people attended the enjoyable program. The group spoke about
their writing process and each shared the names of some of the authors
that they enjoy reading.
II. Collection
a. Two books on CD were added this month as a part of the standing order
plan: Nothing to lose by Lee Child and Careless in Red by Elizabeth
George. The standing order will be suspended for the remainder of the
year, and the rest of the budget for standing orders will be spent in one
final order.
III. Projects
a. Fidelity cleaners have been doing a fine job. Communication with the
new cleaner has been improving as she gets used to her job with Fidelity.
b. Displays in the library include Master the art of reading on the bulletin
board, and a Honey do check list for home repair and maintenance on the
slat board.
c. Bids have been taken to have the front of the adult circulation desk re-
laminated. The material has been ordered, and installation will be
scheduled as soon as it arrives.
