MOTION: Move to waive the reading of Resolution 2008-212, there being
ample copies available to the general public.
MOTION: Move to adopt Resolution 2008-212, being a Resolution Canvassing
Municipal Primary Election Returns.

On September 9, 2008 the City held a primary election to select four Council Member candidates.
Attached are the results of the election and the resolution canvassing said election.
RECOMMENDED MOTION: Move to waive the reading of Resolution No. 2008-212, there being
ample copies available to the public.

cANVASSINC MUNICIPAL PRIMARY ELECTION RETURNS
WHEREAS, the City of Columbia Heights, did on the 9th day of September, 2008, conduct and hold a
Primary Municipal Election for the purpose of nominating candidates for two offices of Council Member to be
voted on at a General Municipal Election on November 4 2008; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Columbia Heights at a meeting of said Council held on the 10th
day of September 2008, did canvass the returns and results of said Primary Municipal Election; and
WHEREAS, the following results were determined by said canvass of said Primary Municipal Election, to
wit:

that Bruce Nawrocki, Donna Schmitt, Sue Campbell, and Bobby Williams are hereby declared to be the
candidates for the two four-year Council Seats for the General Municipal Election to be held on November 4,
2008.
