HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution No. 2008-40RESOLUTION N0.2008-40 BEING A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR UNIVERSITY AVENUE SERVICE DRIVE STREET RECONSTRUCTION AND ORDERING THE PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT HEARING CITY PROJECT - N0.0602 WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted a Street Rehabilitation Program which divides the City into seven zones, and WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 2006-26, a report has been prepared by the City Engineer with reference to University Avenue Street Reconstruction, and WHEREAS, the City has secured Mn/DOT Cooperative Agreement funds for a portion of the reconstruction costs, and WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is feasible, necessary and cost effective, and Said report is hereby received by the City Council of Columbia Heights on February 25, 2008. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF COLUMBIA HEIGHTS, MINNESOTA 1. The Council will consider the improvement of such streets in accordance with the report and the assessment of abutting or benefited property for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429 at an estimated total cost of the improvement of $915,500 2. A public hearing shall beheld on such proposed improvement on the 7`h day of April, 2008, in the City Council Chamber at 590 40`h Avenue N.E. at 8:00 P.M. and the City Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvement as required by law.
