Recording store hours & motion at night/closed will achieve the requested 90, 180 and 360 storage requirements. Storage Calculation Considerations: The storage configuration calculations have been prepared with the assistance of engineers at March Networks. Camera IPS (images per second) have been determined by having a seven day work week where the cameras are expected to record 12 or 24 hours per day. Camera settings are at medium complexity, more detailed quality, CIF frame size, and 2 audio medium compressed in the last camera. All of the settings have an effect on total storage needed. Depending on the situation, the numbers might need to be changed. March Networks provides two specific retention periods, which can be selected for the number of days' desired storage. Calculations contained in this proposal response document are based on information from March Networks' engineers and provide fora 12 and 24-hour a day estimate. SPM3041-VI 12/21/2007 Page 6 rrl~r~~. Statement of Work If the City of Columbia Heights & Top Valu Liquors want to record 24 hours/day, 7 days/week, additional hardware will be necessary. Our recommendation is you record all cameras during normal business hours and motion detection outside normal business hours. Storage considerations contained in this S.O.W. have been configured with this in mind. Please Note: Reaardina Stand-bv cameras at Top Valu I & Top Valu 11 The stand by cameras enable Top Valu Liquor staff to quickly and easily change from one camera to a stand-by camera. Top Valu I includes 36 cameras, (24 of which will be recorded) and 28 cameras at Top Valu II where 24 cameras will be recorded. This configuration will eliminate the need for staff to physically move internal camera components, hardware & camera accessories. Staff will simply unplug one wire and plug in the desired camera wire to the surveillance recorder. Therefore you are eliminating the need for staff to use ladders and be exposed to other potentially hazardous tasks associated with such activities.
