I. PROGRAMS

II. COLLECTION & CIRCULATION
??
Several large book orders were placed through Baker & Taylor.
??
The circulation desk continues to be busy with Monday being the heaviest
circulation day of the week. Evening staff is reporting steady business nearly
every night of the week and the desk is busy most afternoons beginning about
2:00. We still have our normal parent and child business just before lunch but
then a break until about 2:00. Internet use is constant and turn around is brisk.
III. PROJECTS
??
Staff began preparations for the 2007 Teen Read Week programming. Contests and a
special program provided by Stevie Ray’s Improv will highlight the week.
IV. MEETINGS
??
The Director and I met with Marlene Moulton-Janssen, Mary Caven, and Judy Soule on
9/18 about the new Anokat. Kelly and I had prepared some rough drafts of designs for
consideration and a final design was selected. We are working on the final layout now.
V. STAFF
??
Kelly is finally getting back to a more normal schedule. She spent time training
the new Clerk-Typist Adult, Stacey Hendren on our accounting procedures.
Stacey is a quick study and caught on readily. Kelly also submitted and received
several books orders. She withdrew outdated magazines and updated our serials
listing with ACL.
??
Cristy Tombarge developed several new booklists for the department, prepared
both adult and children’s bulletin boards, aided adult staff in establishing a
Banned Books Display, and established two new displays within the children’s
department.
??
Pages have been aiding staff in receiving book orders, preparing spreadsheets for
potential orders, aiding in the folding and cutting of forms and booklists. Their
shelving has increased considerably due to delivery four times a week and
increased circulation desk activity.
