I. PROGRAMS:
A. Friends of the Library: The Friends of the Library sorted books for their annual sale on

Tuesday, June 7 and held a short business meeting at noon. The pre-sale was held
thth
Wednesday, June 8 from 6 – 8 p.m., and the book sale Thursday, June 9, from 9:00
a.m. – 8:00 p.m. The Friends made a total of $1,879.45 from the pre-sale tickets, pre-sale
and book sale. They will not meet the rest of the summer, and their next scheduled
th
meeting is Monday, September 12.
B. At-Home Service: Sandi Engquist delivered library materials to two “At Home” patrons
this month.
C. Bulk loans: Royce Place completed an application for a bulk loan, but they cancelled the
delivery. They will call later if they are interested in reinstating their bulk loan.
II. COLLECTION:
A. Several updated out-state telephone directories were received and put in the reference
section. Travel brochures received were labeled and placed in the vertical file. I also
continued ordering travel brochures from state tourism bureaus.
III. PROEJCTS & GOALS:
A. Supply budget: The monthly supply budget was updated through June 13, 2005.
B. Supplies: I took the annual supply inventory and placed orders for items needed.

C. Book Sale: For the book sale, I prepared many signs and spent all of June 7, helping the
Friends sort books for their sale and attended their business meeting. I also helped sell
pre-sale tickets and supervised the pre-sale and book sale activities.
D. Fidelity Cleaners: A new permanent cleaner has started at the library and is doing a
decent job cleaning the library.
E. Book Display: The lobby book display is entitled: “Summer Reading” and features
books on grilling, hiking, fishing, golf, gardening, and other aspects of outdoor living and
activities.
F. Volunteers: Sandi Engquist donated two hours delivering books to “At Home” patrons,
and Gloria Tarmann spent three hours cutting Campbell’s labels for a total of 5 volunteer
hours this month.
G. Brochures: I updated the User’s Guide and ordered 500 copies from IPC printing.
H. Routine Task: Updated patron records after notices were returned to the library by the
post office.
I. Tours: Gave a presentation/tour of the library to an ESL Level III class on Thursday,
June 2.
IV. MISCELLANEOUS

A. Prepared and posted signs for the 4 of July holiday.
B. Prepared copy for the July library newsletter.
C. Prepared weekly task calendars.
D. Sent out June library newsletter to City and ACL staff.
E. Posted the New York Times Best Seller List, weekly.
F. Conducted a staff meeting on Friday, July 1.
G. Prepared time sheets.
H. Supervised staff while Becky was out to the office on 6/30 and 7/1.
I. I was on vacation June 20-24.
