Friends of the Library: The Friends of the Library met on Monday, September 12 at 1:00 p.m. in the Library Boardroom. Becky gave a report to the Friends on the items purchased and received from money they donated. The Friends next meeting will be Monday, October 3, at th 1:00 p.m. On November 7, the Friends will have a luncheon meeting at 11:00 a.m. at the Dragon House restaurant. B. At-Home Service: Deliveries were made to two “At Home Patrons”, and Friends of the Library member, Sandi Engquist, made the deliveries. II. COLLECTION DEVELOPMENT: A. I continued selecting books on CD for my second order of the year, but have not completed it. III. PROEJCTS & GOALS: st A. Performance review: My annual performance review was Wednesday, September 21 and goals th set for 2005-06. I’ve completed by 27 year as Adult Services Specialist and have experienced the change from manual checkout and card catalogs to the use of automation for circulation and database access. B. Fidelity cleaners: The Library is again without a permanent cleaner. We will have a substitute cleaner until a replacement is found. Fidelity conducted a walk thru on Wednesday, September 21. There were issues this month with the bathrooms, trash, recycling dumpster, dusting, and the nd library not being cleaned the evening of the 22. C. Book display: October is Polish American Heritage month, and I pulled books on Poland and displayed them in the lobby. D. Supply ordering: I ordered both general and library supplies. th E. Supply budget: The monthly supply budget was updated through September 12. F. Brochures: The updated PIN# brochure was printed and distributed to many patrons this month. G. Routine tasks: I updated patron record’s when overdue and request notices were returned to the library by the post office. IV. MISCELLANEOUS A. Posted New York Times Best Seller lists weekly. B. Prepared weekly task calendar. C. Sent out September newsletter to ACL and City staff. D. Prepared copy for the October library newsletter. E. Supervised staff, conducted staff meeting, and did payroll when Becky was out of the office September 21, 22, 23 and 25. F. I was on vacation September 6-13, 2005. MMK/jms
