PARK BOARD MINUTES
DECEMBER 5, 1990
The meeting was called to order by Chairperson Bill Hollom at 6:30 p.m.

CONSENT AGENDA
The following items were on the consent agenda.
READING OF THE MINUTES
Moved and seconded to approve the payment of the bills as listed from the
proper funds.
PAYMENT OF THE BILLS
Moved and seconded to approve payment of the bills as listed from the
proper funds.
APPROVAL OF CONSENT AGENDA
Motion by Murzyn, second by Peterson to approve the consent agenda as
presented. All ayes, motion carried.
REQUEST MATHAIRE/MCKENNA ROOM/ENGLISH 2ND LANGUAGE
Motion by Peterson, second by Fowler to allow Pam Peschong, teacher of
English 2nd Language, the use of the Mathaire/McKenna room on January 8th,
January 15, January 17, January 22nd and January 24th from 12:00 Noon
to 4:30 with the fee beinq waived. The Custodians work till 3 D.m.,
therefore, it is the understanding of the Park Board if a custodian is
needed during any part of that time the organization requestinq the rooms
will pick up the cost. All ayes, motion carried.
REQUES~ :K:Ey~S, GAUVITTE ROOM/DIANE CREESE
Received a request from the Community Education Coordinator requesting the
Keyes and Gauvitte room for a class on January 30th, February 6th,
February ]3th, February 20th and February 27th from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Motion by Peterson, second by Fowler to allow them the use of the rooms
with the fee being waived. However, it is the understanding of the Park
Board if a custodian is needed during any part of that time the Community
Education Department will pick up the cost. All ayes, motion carried.

REQUEST OSTRANDER-SENIOR CENTER/COLUMBIA HEIGHTS FIRE DEPT.
Received a request fro~the Ostrander/Senior Center from the Columbia
Heights Fire Department for their annual meeting on January 19, 1991.
Motion by Fowler, second by Peterson to allow the Fire Department the use
of the room With the fee being waived. However, any security costs will
not be waived. All ayes, motion carried.
COLUMBIA HEIGHTS ATHLETIC BOOSTERS
A letter from the Boosters confirming the $1,800. hydraulic lift and the
$5,000 for the Press Box, Field #3 building was read and noted.
WARGO COURT-LETTER JIM KORDIAK
A letter from Anoka County Commissioner Kordiak thanking the Park Board
for the dressing up and lighting of Wargo Court for the holidays was read
and noted.
Hollom thanked the members for their time and effort for the past year.
ADJOURNMENT
Motion by Peterson, second by Murzyn to adjourn. All ayes, motion
carried.
