CONSENT AGENDA
The following items were on the consent agenda.
READING OF THE MINUTES
The Board approved the minutes of the October 25, t989 Park Board meeting.
PAYMENT OF THE BILLS
The Board authorized the payment of bills as listed from the proper funds.
REQUEST HALL/DORIS GRAbY
The Board authorized the use of the LaBelle Lounge for Girl Scout Troop
#643 on December 20, 1989 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with the rental fee
to be waived.
REQUEST HALL/COLUMBIA HEIGHTS GIRL SCOUTS
The Board approved the use of the main hall and kitchen for Girl Scout
Troop #497 on March 22 and April 26, t990 with the rental fee waived.
REQUEST HALL/COLUMBIA HEIGHTS ATHLETIC BOOSTERS
The Board approved the main hall, LaBelle Lounge and kitchen for the
Columbia Heights Athletic Boosters to host a senioP citizens Christmas
party on December 12, 1989. and to waive the fee.
REQUEST HALL/WOMEN OF TODAY
The Board approved the main hall, LaBelle Lounge and kitchen for the
children's christmas party on December 6, 1989 with the rental fee to be
waived.
APPROVAL OF CONSENT AGENDA
Motion by Petkoff, second by Murzyn to approve the consent agenda as
presented. All ayes, motibn carried.

REQUEST B.Y.O.B./TAMMY LOVMO - DECEMBER 15, 1989
A letter was received from Tammy Lovmo requesting permission from the Park
Board to have a "Bring Your Own Bottle" chrTstmas pa.rty on December 15,
1989. Motion by Petkoff, second by Murzyn to approve the request. All
ayes, motion carried.
REQUEST OSTRANDER & SENIOR. CENTER/PUBLIC WORK EMPLOYEES
A letter was read from Robert Verbrugge requesting the use of the
Ostrander and Senior Citizens rooms~to hold. a christmas party. They also
requested that all fees be waived. After much discuss.ion., Petkoff made a
motion to offer the Mathaire/McKenna rooms with the fee being waived.
However, they' did decline to waive the fee on the security. They felt
that all other groups that use the hall, when there is liquor involved,
have to pay security. Second by Schlagel. All ayes, motion carried.
REPORTS
A Copy of a letter sent to Jessica Barnick was given to the members for
their information.
The budget was discussed and Petkoff reported that it had. not been adopted
as yet.
Petkoff requested a memo on Circle Terrace playground equipment for the
budget.
Salsbury stated that the Park Department'is going to put up christmas
lights on the trees in Wargo .Court. The money for this is going to come
from the Chamber of Commerce.
The problems at Wargo Court were reported on again. The loose rocks being
thrown 'in pond - fountain, not working - control cover - trees planted too
close.
Salsbury reported on the Columbia Heights Lions meetings. The Board
stated that the Lion'.s would have to limit the serving of alcoholic to one
hour before the meeting if they wanted to continue their meetings without
security.

Motion by Schlagel,. second by Murzyn to adjourn. All ayes, motion
carried.
