HomeMy WebLinkAboutDecember 14, 1988CITY OF COLUMBIA HEIGHTS PARK BOARD MINUTES DECEMBER 14, 1988 ROLL CALL Members present: Bill Hollom, Jim Fowler, Rita Petkoff, Veronica Schlagel, A1 Kennedy, John Murzyn, Fred Salsbury Director Public Works/City Engineer At so present: Delores Hollom, Dolores Fowler, Kenneth Schlaget Dottle Salsbury The meeting was called to order by Chairman Bill Holtom at 6:00 p.m.. READING OF THE MINUTES Motion by Murzyn, second by Fowler that the reading of the minutes of the November 23, 1988 meeting be dispensed with and accepted as written. All ayes, motion carried. PAYMENT OF THE BILLS Motion by Murzyn, second by Kennedy to approve that the bills be paid out of the proper funds. All ayes, motion carried. LETTERS AND REQUESTS REQUEST ANNUAL TOWN MEETING/COLUMBIA HEIGHTS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE Motion by Fowler, second by Schlagel to reserve the main hall, LaBelle Lounge and kitchen for the Columbia Heights Chamber of Commerce for their Annual Town Meeting on March 10, 1989; and, furthermore to waive the fee for the same. All ayes, motion carried. REQUEST ANNUAL SCOUT RECOGNITION DINNER/ST. ANTHONY DISTRICT CUB AND BOY SCOUT LEADERS Motion by Murzyn, second by Petkoff to reserve the main halt and kitchen for the Annual Scout Recognition Dinner on January 26, 1989; and, furthermore, to waive the fee for the same. All ayes, motion carried. REQUEST ANNUAL FIRE DEPARTMENT MEETING/COLUMBIA HEIGHTS FIRE DEPT. Motion by Schlagel, second by Fowler to reserve the Ostrander and the Senior Citizens room for January 21, 1989 with the fee being waived. However, if there is alcoholic beverages, the security fee will remain intact. All ayes, motion carried. COLUMBIA HEIGHTS PARK BOARD MEETING MINUTES DECEMBER 14, 1988 ~AGE TWO OLD BUSINESS None NEW BUSINESS None REPORTS Salsbury reported that the warming houses will be open on December 23, 1988. Kennedy asked about the walking paths a~ Sullivan Park that have ice on them. Salsbury stated that we are not supposed to put sand and salt on the paths around the lake. Also,' the paths are to narrow to use our trucks. However, we did recently purchase a Multipurpose Tractor that should help with the plowing of paths this winter. Hollom thanked the Board Members for their time and effort this pass year. ADJOURNMEMT Motion by Murzyn, second by Schlagel to adjourn. All ayes, motion carried.
