All ayes, motion carried. PAYMENT OF THE BILLS Motion by Petkoff, second by Fowler to approve that the bills be paid out of the proper funds. All ayes, motiOn car:tied. LETTERS AND REQUESTS REQUEST HALL/CHAMBER OF COMMERCE Motion by Petkoff, second by Murzyn to approve the John P. Murzyn Hall for the Columbia Heights Chamber of Commerce Annual Christmas party on Wednesday, December 21, 1988 with the fee being waived. All ayes, mot'i'on carried. REQUEST HELICOPTER LANDING HUSET PARK/LISA J. AYDT A request was received from the City Council to recommend to them whether or not to grant permission to Lisa Aydt to land a helicopter in Huset Park for their wedding at Murzyn Hall on August 25, 1989. Motion by Fowler, second by Schlagel to grant permission to Lisa Aydt to land a helicopter in Huset Park on August 25, 1989 on the basis that the area be roped off by the individual, that the individual be responsible for any and all damages incurred, and that any other stipulations required by the Police Chief, Fire Chief and Public Works Director be adhered to. All ayes, motion carried. REQUEST HALL/CUB SCOUT PACK #92 Motion by Petkoff, second by Schlagel to give permission to the Cub Scout Pac~#92 for their Pinewood Derby on February 8, 1989 with the fee being waived. All ayes, motion carried. COLUMBIA HEIGHTS PARK BOARD MEETING MINUTES NOVEMBER 23, 1988 PAGE TWO HUSET PARK BALLFIELD Rita Petkoff reported that the Council decided at the last work session to try and work out a compromise as far as the ballfields were concerned. They decided to let .the. Project go to a referendum and let the citizens decide. The Tri-City Legion. has given the city. 45 days to make a decision whether or not to have the new hal]fields. However everything does depend on the contaminated ground. ' FLOOR IN JOHN P. MURZYN HALl Motion by Petkoff, second by Murzyn to approve the opening up of the hall in January of 1989 for rentals. All ayes, motion carried. NEW BUSINESS ANIMALS IN JOHN P. MURZYN HALL Motion by Fowler, second by Murzyn to approve the following amendment to the John P. Murzyn Hall Management Plan be adopted: 2.7 Live animals, fowl, or fish shall not. be allowed for display, show or any other purpose within John P. Murzyn Hall, except as may be necessary for such purposes as seeing eye dogs, etc. The Director shall prescribe limitations on the allowable circumstances. All ayes, motion carried. REPORTS We are gearing up for winter season. We will be flooding in the early morning hours so the hockey rinks will be ready for play.
