Mr. Stephen Henning, Di'strict Commissioner of the Great St. Anthony District of Viking Council delivered a latter to the Park Board requesting specific rooms for the monthly roundtable meetings on the first Thursday of each month. Motion by Starcevic, seconded by Murzyn to reserve the Keyes, Ostrander, McKenna, Mathaire and LaBelle Lounge for the meetings beginning in January of ]987 tlaru December of 1987. The fee for the rooms will be waived. The motion is qualified that should problems occur with scheduling during the year the Council work with the Park Board to settle any scheduling problems. All ayes, motion carried. COLUMBIA HEIGHTS PARK BOARD MINUTES NOVEMBER 17, 1986 PAGE 2 REQUEST KEYES ROOM/COLUMBIA HEIGHTS/FRIDLEY KIWANIS CLUB Motion by Petkoff, seconded by Murzyn to reserve the Keyes room from 7:00 a.m. until 8:30 a.m. every 1st thursday of the month for the rBoard meetings thru September of 1987. There will be no fee for the use of this room. All ayes motion carried. REQUEST J.P.M. MAIN HALL/OAK HILL BAPTIST CHURCH Motion by Murzyn, seconded by Starcevic to'reserve the hall for the 40th Anniversary Celebration of Oak' Hil] Baptist Church on May 15, 1987 with the fee being waived. All ayes, motion carried. OLD BUSINESS MANAGEMENT PLAN Salsbury requested assistance from.the Board on the plan. Some of the questions a're ~ 1) Commercial use of the hall'- The Board stated that they would like to deal with each request on an individual basis. 2) 3) 4) Provide towels, rags, etc. for bar and kitchen use. The Board stated that they would like more information on cost and etc. before making decision. PoliCy concerning the number of times, a facility may be used by group. The Board wants the policy to remain the same for weekend use and no restrictions during the week. Priority of groups such as Recreation. The Board stated there would be no priority. First come first serve. 5) Should we discontinue requiring proof of insurance. The Board stated they would want the practice of providing copy of insurance to continue. Salsbury stated that he would have 'the draft ready for the Board's study the first part of December. NEW BUSINESS PLAYGROUND EQUIPMENT LA BELLE PARK The Board was given information on playground 'equipment based on o~igina]' r~quest. Although the bid from Landscape Structures Was not the lowest bid the members f&It .i~t'came ;closes~ to.their request and specifications. Motion by Starcevic, seconded by Petkoff to recommend to the City Council the purchase of playground equipment from Landscape Structures in the amount of $4,627.00. All ayes, motion carried. ADJOURNMENT Motion by Murzyn, seconded by Starcevic to adjourn. All ayes, motion carried.
